Just Food provides access to healthy food to residents of Douglas County who are in need of food assistance. Click on the links below to find out more about our onsite programs!

Food Pantry – The food pantry is open five days per week. Monday 1:00 pm – 7:00 pm and Tuesday – Friday 9:00 am – 12:00 pm and 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm. Just Food is closed the second Monday of every month, Federal holidays and if USD 497 is closed due to weather. Clients can come in and receive perishables daily and non-perishables and meat once every thirty days. To qualify for this program, clients must be within 185% of the federal poverty level and live in Douglas County. Bring proof of Douglas County address. Ballard Community Services, Salvation Army and Campus Cupboard at the ECM and LCM are all  part of the same network.

Mobile Food Pantry –  The Campus Cupboard on Wheels operates on the first Monday of every month beginning at 1:00 pm at the west parking lot of Memorial Stadium. The Ballard Center mobile food pantry happens the third Wednesday of each month beginning at 9:00 a.m at the Douglas County 4-H Fairgrounds.  For more information, please contact Ballard Community Services at 785.842.0729.

Federal Commodity Distribution (Senior Commodities and Regular Commodities) (CSFP and TEFAP) – Federal commodity programs are now distributed by Harvesters: The Community Food Network. Please contact Harvesters at 816.929.3000 for more information.
