This year, the Third Annual Kansas Food Truck Festival benefiting Just Food was held on May 7 at the Warehouse Arts District. After the success of the first two years, the event returned with 26 food trucks and an expanded lineup of live entertainment of children’s activities, live music, and street performers from the Lawrence Busker Festival. This Kansas Food Truck also partnered with the Craft Collective for multi vendor art art sale by local and regional artist inside the Cider Gallery Fine Art.
This festival was the most profitable event in the history of the organization, nearly doubling last year’s total. The event raised $41,000 for Just Food, making it the organization’s largest annual fundraiser. The funds raised will help provide meals for the nearly 12,000 Douglas County residents served by Just Food every year.
