45% of Survey Respondents Struggling to Feed Families Said They’ve Skipped Meals so Their Kids Can Eat
According to a survey from ParentsTogether Action, parents are struggling more than ever to make ends meet. With rising costs and stagnate wages, pandemic-era policies like The Child Tax Credit and Universal Schools Meals made it possible for families to put food on the table. Now that it is 5 months since the last payment and Universal School Lunch expiring on June 30th, families in Douglas County are making difficult decisions about what kind of foods they are eating or if they are eating at all.
